About Us

Heritage Video is committed to providing our clients with a video that will not only showcase the event, but will capture the sights, sounds and emotions of the people involved. We go about our job quietly and professionally, without being a distraction.

Even though event video is our specialty, corporate and commercial productions are certainly within our scope of expertise.  Let us show you the value video can be to your business by building your training videos, television commercials or covering your upcoming seminars.

Our Staff

Bob Claxton – Owner & Videographer

Bob grew up in Bulloch County and graduated from Statesboro High School and Georgia Southern.  With a degree in Communication Arts, experience in both radio and television, it was a natural fit to create a business that utilizes those learned skills. Bob started Heritage Video in 1995 as a home business, and as the projects increased and the business grew, he knew it was time to open up a store front in the heart of the city. He is a deacon at Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church, currently serving as chairman, sings in the choir and even teaches Sunday School from time to time.  He enjoys music, sports, television Westerns and, of course, shooting and editing video.

What do you like best about working at Heritage Video?

What I have enjoyed more than anything else in this business is the relationships I have formed, both with clients who have hired me to document an important event in their lives and with the people who have worked with me over the years.  I have been blessed with a lot of friendships that will last a lifetime as a result of the hours working for and alongside some amazing people.

If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I’ve got pretty simple tastes.  A good sirloin steak, baked potato and a roll makes me awfully happy with either a Coca Cola or some Sweet Tea to drink.

Jennifer Estaling – Production Manager & Editor

She’s armed with a strong marketing and advertising background and has extensive experience with graphic design and in co-producing a local television show back home. She has the expertise needed to bring your production to fruition and the advertising sense to know what will get your customer’s attention.

What do you like best about working at Heritage Video?

I love that I am making something that brings joy into someone’s life. Spending hours or days on a project and then being able to see the clients reaction (and sometimes tears in their eyes) when they see the finished video is priceless!  It makes all the hard work and long hours worth the effort.

If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Oh…that’s so hard to answer. I guess, I’d start with Bonefish Grill’s Mussels Josephine and a spinach salad with warm applewood bacon vinaigrette from Maggiano’s – Little Italy. As my entree I’d get a medium-rare New York Strip from Ruth’s Chris – Steakhouse,  a loaded baked potato from Outback Steakhouse and creamed spinach from Boston Market. I’d end the meal with a N.Y. style cheesecake topped with strawberries also from Maggiano’s and a cappuccino. Then have to roll myself out the door!

Hillary Murphey Zeigler – Videographer

Originally from Dearing, GA. Hillary has been working with Heritage Video since June 2006. She graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2008 with a B.M. in Music Education. Hillary has been teaching music for three years and currently teaches at Brooklet Elementary School. She has also been married to her wonderful husband Austin for three years. Hillary is a member of Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church where she directs the choir. Hillary enjoys singing, acting, and traveling.

What do you like best about working at Heritage Video?

I enjoy filming theatrical productions and dance recitals because I get to mix my passion for the arts with my joy for filming and editing. I also like getting the opportunity to share in the milestones of peoples’ lives. Every time I film a wedding I get teary-eyed and I usually don’t even know the couple. Just knowing the commitment that they are making is so touching. I love getting to film those moments that they will remember forever

If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I could eat steak, mashed potatoes, and my Grandma’s macaroni & cheese every day. I’d have a Coca Cola to drink and chocolate pie for dessert! (In this hypothetical world, we don’t count calories, right?) :)

Shannon Rushing – Videographer

Shannon Rushing was born and raised in Statesboro Ga, and is a 13th generation Bulloch native. She attended Charter Conservatory for Liberal Arts and Technology for high school education. She is now working towards her college degree at East Georgia College and plans to transfer to GSU after completing her core classes. She hopes to have a job in a media arts field and is excited to be working here with us learning the ins and outs of video production, web interaction, and design.

What do you like best about working at Heritage Video?

The fact that it’s an office job and I get in-the-field experience too by going to weddings, dance recitals and plays to film the different events. It mixes it up and keeps my week from getting boring.

If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Crab legs with lots of butter, my momma’s fried okra and broccoli casserole. A Sprite to drink and for dessert pumpkin pie. Yum!

Lydia Thomas – editor & videographer

Born in Rincon, Georgia, Lydia Thomas has lived in Statesboro since she was five years old. She graduated in 2008 from Southeast Bulloch High school in Brooklet, GA with honors & a Fine Arts Seal. Though she is halfway through earning her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology at Ogeechee Technical College, Lydia plans to transfer to Georgia Southern University to pursue a degree in Marketing and Graphic Design. Lydia has a strong background in art, specifically use in ink, charcoal & color theory. Lydia has participated in numerous art shows throughout the region, including showing at the Lennox Mall in Atlanta, Georgia.

What do you like best about working at Heritage Video?

I enjoy working in a place where I can use my eye for aesthetics to create projects for people that they will cherish for a lifetime. I am excited to be learning how to show my artistic style and aesthetics through film and editing.  It’s also wonderful to have a job where I am capturing special moments for people, like Weddings.

If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

That, of course, is a difficult question because I love food, as most people do. As a snack, I could eat popcorn everyday. For one meal though, I could get by with having my Mom’s spaghetti, french-cut green beans (for some reason they taste better), & garlic bread. For dessert, cookies & cream Ice Cream, hands down.
